Parent Expectations

We look forward to working together as a team this school year so that your son can reach his personal best. The expectations listed below are guidelines which will help your son have a successful school year.

1. Read with your son every night for a least 10 minutes. Talk to your son about the characters, setting, problems and solutions. Ask him how he would feel if these events were happening to him. Make this a priority each day.

2. Homework will ALWAYS be practice or review of a skill previously taught in the classroom. Therefore, homework is expected to be done by the student. If your son has difficulty with a problem it is okay to help; however, if your child does not understand the concept please indicate this on the homework paper so that I can work with him to insure that he understands.

3. Check the CAMP Binder daily. Please be sure to sign the reading log nightly. Any important school forms will also be found here.

4. Make sure your son is prepared for school. Regular attendance and punctuality are essential for success! Backpack, CAMP Binder, breakfast, etc...

5. Communicate with us about your child. Please feel free to e-mail or call our office phones if you have questions or concerns.

6. Attend conferences and meetings as necessary to communicate about the specific needs of your son.

7. Please insure that your contact information is up to date with both the office and us in case of emergency. This will allow us to keep your son safe at St. Mark's.
